Fashion Events

Overview

In my role as a technical consultant for various fashion events, I've combined my expertise in no-code development with a deep understanding of event management. This unique skill set has allowed me to create innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and streamline communications in the dynamic world of fashion events.

Queen City Anime Convention

At Queen City Anime Convention (QCAC), my technical guidance was instrumental in the fashion show segment, where I developed a comprehensive online portal that revolutionized how designers interacted with the event. This portal enabled designers to browse and select models, create their lineup, upload music and essential files, and maintain open lines of communication with their models. This initiative significantly improved the organizational aspects of the fashion show, making it a smoother, more efficient experience for everyone involved.

Royal Vegas Retreat

As a contractor for the 2021 Royal Vegas Retreat, my role focused on managing vendor communications and overseeing onsite vendor operations. Following the event, I dedicated myself to creating prototypes for an event app and various internal tools. These prototypes were designed to facilitate smoother vendor and attendee interactions, aiming to optimize future event processes. Although the organizers ultimately chose to put the event on hiatus, the process of building these prototypes taught me the importance of anticipating future needs and challenges in event management, and the potential impact of technology in solving these issues.

The Great Lace

Currently, I am a co-founder for The Great Lace, a networking retreat for enthusiasts, collectors, creators, and distributors of Japanese alternative fashion that will take place in March 2025

My primary focus is the development of a comprehensive event app tailored for the collaborators and attendees of the event. This app is envisioned to be a one-stop solution for all event-related needs, providing easy access to information, fostering networking opportunities, and enhancing the overall event experience for all stakeholders.

Drawing on the lessons learned and ideas conceived during my time with RVR, the app for The Great Lace incorporates improved functionalities with a simple to use interface . It reflects an evolution of my previous work, showcasing how past experiences can inform and enhance future projects.
