Queen City Anime Convention
At Queen City Anime Convention (QCAC), my technical guidance was instrumental in the fashion show segment, where I developed a comprehensive online portal that revolutionized how designers interacted with the event. This portal enabled designers to browse and select models, create their lineup, upload music and essential files, and maintain open lines of communication with their models. This initiative significantly improved the organizational aspects of the fashion show, making it a smoother, more efficient experience for everyone involved.
Royal Vegas Retreat
As a contractor for the 2021 Royal Vegas Retreat, my role focused on managing vendor communications and overseeing onsite vendor operations. Following the event, I dedicated myself to creating prototypes for an event app and various internal tools. These prototypes were designed to facilitate smoother vendor and attendee interactions, aiming to optimize future event processes. Although the organizers ultimately chose to put the event on hiatus, the process of building these prototypes taught me the importance of anticipating future needs and challenges in event management, and the potential impact of technology in solving these issues.
The Great Lace
I co-founded The Great Lace, a weekend retreat for enthusiasts, collectors, creators, and distributors of Japanese alternative fashion that will take place in March 2025. The event aims to promote EGL fashion in North America and will feature a Fashion Show, industry panels, vendors, and a luxurious tea party in a historic Chicago hotel.
